Today I will show you a pretty rose gold step by step layout. Everybody loves gold but what about rose gold? I love this shade so much and Tracey is so fantastic that she made us a fabulous new Magical shaker Aged copper that is a perfect rose gold shade!
Let me show you the final results first!
Let’s start from the beginning! I always use clear gesso when I want to use pattern paper. The gesso act like a barrier that will protect your paper and makes your ink slide over it. If you don’t use any, the paper will absorb the ink and you won’t obtain that same look.
When the clear gesso is completely dry, I sprinkled some of the Aged copper Magical shaker over my paper.
With a gentle mist of water, activate the pigment. With less water, you have a copper shade, with more water it turned out the rose gold I wanted.
I used a wet brush to dilute the pigments and to play with the color. With the brush I can have the color where I want it on my background, it’s more precise than a spray of water.
You can see what I got while still wet.
I’m not patient, so I used my heat gun to accelerate the drying process.
Look at that metallic shimmer over the pink, isn’t it gorgeous?
I stamped on my background and I embossed it with Caesar’s gold to add texture.
I love embossing titles with 2 shades of powders. Here I used Purely white and Cleopatra’s copper.
Let me show you some close-ups of the final result now.
That’s all for today, thank you for being there with me! I hope you’ve enjoyed the new rose gold color from the Aged copper shaker!
